Business Analyst - 6 Month Contract - Belfast
The Role
You'll be joining a delivery team working on the full rewrite of a client's ERP system, taking a complex, business-critical platform and reimagining it for the future. Most mornings will start by syncing with Product Owners and UX Designers to check priorities and make sure requirements for the next sprint are crystal clear.
You'll shape EPICs and user stories from high-level objectives, ensuring they're well-defined, testable, and mapped to the ERP rebuild's roadmap. Backlog refinement will be a big part of your week - working with developers to unpack requirements, uncover edge cases, and break large stories into realistic, actionable tasks.
You'll partner closely with UX, Product Management, and Engineering to make sure user journeys, workflows, and interface requirements are in place before development kicks off. You'll also support sprint planning and PI planning, keeping dependencies visible and priorities aligned.
Jira and Confluence will be your home for documentation, progress tracking, and keeping stakeholders informed on delivery status. The goal is simple - keep the team moving from concept to release with minimal blockers.
