Stonetech Recruitment is working with a well-established manufacturing business in West Suffolk to recruit an experienced Quality Engineer. This role offers the opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive team, where you’ll play a key part in ensuring product and process quality while building strong relationships with customers and suppliers. Key Responsibilities * Act as a key member of the Quality Team, supporting the Quality Manager across all quality-related activities. * Maintain clear communication with customers and suppliers, providing updates and resolving quality issues. * Manage the company’s non-conformance register and produce monthly KPI reports. * Monitor and analyse customer performance metrics, identifying trends and driving improvements. * Support and participate in customer audits, ensuring compliance and readiness. * Conduct internal audits to maintain adherence to ISO 9001 and company quality standards. * Implement and oversee corrective action processes to prevent recurring issues. * Visit customer sites for meetings, reviews, and problem-solving as required. * Contribute to quality improvement projects and wider business initiatives. * Undertake additional duties as directed by the Quality Manager. Skills & Experience Required * Proven experience as a Quality Engineer within a manufacturing environment (fabrication background essential). * Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and processes. * Ability to interpret and work confidently with technical drawings. * Skilled problem-solver with experience delivering solutions in a fast-paced production environment. * Strong communication skills, able to discuss technical issues professionally with customers and suppliers. * Competent with IT systems and comfortable adopting new software tools. * Self-motivated, organised, and able to prioritise workload effectively. * Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel to customer sites when required. * Desirable: Experience in project management and delivering improvement initiatives.
