Transactional Services Supervisor| FT| 12 month FTC| Reading| Competitive Salary
Spire Healthcare is a leading independent healthcare group in the United Kingdom, running 38 hospitals and over 50 clinics across England, Wales and Scotland. It provides diagnostics, inpatient, day case and outpatient care, operates a network of private GPs and provides workplace health services to over 800 corporate clients. It also delivers a range of private and NHS mental health, musculoskeletal and dermatological services.
We are now looking for a Transactional Services Supervisor to join our existing team, on a maternity cover basis.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing daily activity, assess priorities and manage resource accordingly.
2. Invoice processing, query resolution and accounts on hold performance indicators are aligned within agreed targets.
3. Ensuring key supplier accounts are appropriately reconciled each month against the creditor’s ledger.
4. Organising monthly ledger review meetings and report any concerns to the transactional Services Manager and the associated buyer. Set reasonable targets to drive query resolution.
5. Ensuring team members have clear, measurable objectives providing support and development to the team to enable delivery of those objectives.
6. Authorising teams annual leave requests and managing attendance in line with Spire Healthcare policies and procedures.
7. Managing staff according to company standards (appraisals, discipline, training and development.
8. Reviewing and implement process improvements or technical solutions.
9. Working with the procurement team to align payment terms and invoicing solutions.
10. Developing and fostering a high-performance culture within the team.
11. Undergoing due diligence validations for supplier company changes
12. Reviewing and managing supplier/consultant payment run processes in consultation with the Treasury Manager, ensuring careful management of credit terms.
13. Supervisory aspects alongside the team manager.
Key Requirements:
14. Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent including English and Mathematics
15. PC literate with accurate keyboard skills and of a reasonable speed.
16. Effective communicator and the ability to draft own written correspondence
17. Team leader/supervisory experience preferred.
18. Several years experience within an Accounts Payable environment
19. Experience in dealing with supplier’s meetings by phone and by e-mail.
20. Demonstrable commitment to problem solving and continuous improvement.
21. Strong organisational and time management skills.
22. Experience of working independently and on own initiative
23. SAP based systems (desirable)
