Sport Welfare Project Officer
Contract: Fixed term until March 2027
Hours: 30-37.5 hours per week (flexible working)
Location: Home-based with national travel
Reports to: Strategic Lead - Welfare
About the role:
This role supports a national programme to improve safeguarding and welfare in grassroots sport. You will coordinate Sport Welfare Officers across the country, providing tools, support, and fostering collaboration to create a safer, more inclusive sporting environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:
* Deliver the national Sport Welfare Officer Programme effectively.
* Build positive relationships with stakeholders, including Sport England, CPSU, and ACT.
* Review evaluations, extract insights, and inform future activities.
* Create reports to support programme understanding.
* Coordinate activities like meetings and events, managing logistics and follow-up.
* Support communication efforts for large-scale events.
* Assist in developing national tools, templates, and guidance.
* Ensure content is inclusive and accessible.
* Maintain good administration and communication to meet deadlines.
* Travel approximately once or twice a month for regional and national events.
Knowledge and Skills:
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport.
* Excellent organization and time management, especially remotely.
* Openness to collaboration with diverse perspectives.
* Clear written communication skills.
* Ability to identify themes in feedback for decision-making.
* Basic understanding of safeguarding, welfare, and wellbeing.
* Proficiency with digital tools (email, video calls, shared documents).
* Self-motivated and proactive.
* Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Work Environment and Support:
* Home-based with regular online meetings.
* Travel 1-2 times/month, with occasional overnight stays.
* Flexible working options considered.
