HANDYPERSONCarbon60 is looking to recruit an experienced Handyperson to support general maintenance, and repair works within a facilities management environment in Edinburgh, Scotland.ROLE: HandypersonPAY RATE: £14.57 per hour PAYECONTRACT TYPE: 1 month - TemporaryLOCATION: Edinburgh, ScotlandTHE ROLE: The Handyperson will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of general maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring the site is maintained to a high standard. The role involves fault finding, basic building fabric repairs, and supporting compliance tasks while delivering excellent service to the client.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Carry out general maintenance and repair tasks across site Perform fault finding and basic diagnostics on building issues Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works Update CAFM systems and complete all required documentation accurately Ensure all works are completed safely, following H&S procedures Maintain plant rooms and work areas in a clean and tidy condition Escort and supervise subcontractors on-site when required Ensure professional communication with clients and stakeholdersESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: Proven experience in general maintenance or facilities management Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills Basic knowledge of building fabric repairs Full UK Driving Licence Good understanding of health & safety practices Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication and IT skills (CAFM systems) Reliable, flexible, and self-motivatedDESIRABLE: Experience within facilities management (5+ years preferred) Legionella awareness Asbestos awareness MEWP Licence First Aid training Experience working in a client-facing environment
