🔎 About the Opportunity
A leading private equity‑backed Facilities Management business is seeking a seasoned Chief Operating Officer (COO) to scale operations, drive performance excellence, and deliver transformational growth across multi‑site service delivery. This is a board‑level leadership role with influence across strategic planning, operational execution, and investment prioritisation.
You will play a pivotal role in operationalising post‑acquisition growth strategies, optimising service delivery outcomes, strengthening operational infrastructure, and ensuring seamless execution of the company’s growth agenda.
🧠 What You’ll Do
* Lead and scale end‑to‑end operations across national accounts and service portfolios.
* Drive operational excellence, including cost optimisation, digitalisation, and service innovation.
* Partner with the CEO and PE sponsor to execute strategic initiatives (e.g., M&A, integration, performance improvement).
* Build and lift high‑performing operational leadership teams.
* Oversee quality assurance, customer satisfaction, performance metrics, and risk management.
* Embed data‑driven operations and continuous improvement frameworks.
1. ✅ What We’re Looking For
* Proven leadership as a COO, Operations Director, or equivalent in facilities management, FM service delivery, multi‑site operations, or related industries.
* Demonstrated experience in PE‑backed or high‑growth, metrics‑driven organisations.
* Track record of driving operational transformation and scalable systems/processes.
* Strong commercial mindset with excellent stakeholder and executive communication.
💰 Compensation & Benefits
💼 Base Salary: £180,000 – £260,000 per year (market competitive for senior COOs in London PE roles)
🎯 Annual Performance Bonus: Up to 40 – 70% of base, linked to operational KPIs and value creation targets
📈 Equity / Long‑Term Incentives: LTIP / equity‑based incentives to align with company performance and exit value
💡 Total Compensation Potential: £280,000 – £450,000+ (base, bonus, equity) depending on experience, performance, and equity vesting
