This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the ongoing digital transformation of WSET. Working within the IT & Projects Department you will have hands‑on responsibility for overseeing the project lifecycle, securing and improving standards and consistency, and contributing to the creation and maintenance of a centre of excellence for project management.
Overall Responsibility
* Establish framework, structures, and processes to continuously support the management of projects, programmes, and portfolio work throughout the organisation ensuring alignment to the business strategic direction
* Manage online information & repositories (Teams & SharePoint) to ensure project documentation and information are up to date and easily accessible to stakeholders
* Implement processes to improve project communication and limit information silos and miscommunications
* Create, maintain, and standardise a library of documents, models, and reporting templates across project delivery
* Support overall Portfolio Governance through triaging new project ideas and proposals
* Develop and maintain an overview of project resource capacity across the Portfolio
* Monitor and track the status of active Projects and Programmes for senior stakeholder and leadership visibility
* Produce relevant status reports and additional information to support the operation of leadership level governance meetings
* Assist Project Managers with updating and maintaining the control documents (RAID, Action & Decisions, Complex Project Plans, Benefits, Training, Comms & Resource logs)
* Provide health checks for portfolio, programmes, and projects to promote best practice through conducting audit & peer reviews
Essential Qualifications
* A track record of successful delivery in PMO roles within an IT and Business change environment
* A firm understanding of the importance that PMO has on good project and programme management
* Knowledge of project management methodologies (Prince2, Agile)
* Excellent communication skills for stakeholder and third‑party vendor collaboration
* Safeguarding organisational knowledge and learning
* Strong attention to details and technicalities
* Ability to interpret complex project data and summarise to multiple audiences
* Self‑motivated
Desirable Qualifications
* A professional qualification such as PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, Scrum
* Have a high level of Emotional Quotient (EQ) and empathy to support team wellbeing
* Experience of working with Asana
