Following the recent award of a new framework, our Manchester based client is looking for a "hands on" proactive Project Controls Manager to join their team.
Responsibilities
* As Project Controls Manager, you will lead a small team of project controls professionals across a wide spectrum of large-scale programmes spanning airport expansion, rail networks, energy projects, nuclear facilities, and defence initiatives.
* Oversee project controls activities including planning, scheduling, cost control, and risk management
* Collaborate with project teams and clients to develop and maintain project schedules and budgets
* Provide accurate progress reports, forecasts, and key performance indicators to stakeholders
* Identify project risks and opportunities, proposing mitigation and contingency measures
* Lead a team of project controls professionals, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency
* Support decision-making through detailed analysis of project data and trends
* Ensure compliance with client requirements, industry standards, and best practices
* Manage multiple projects across different sectors including airport, rail, energy, nuclear, and defence markets
Qualifications
* Significant experience in project controls within large infrastructure projects
* Understanding of project scheduling, cost control, risk management, and reporting techniques
* Experience working in sectors such as airport, energy, nuclear, or rail is highly desirable
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Proficiency with project controls software and tools
* Ability to work closely with clients and internal teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Relevant degree or professional qualification in project management or a related field
