Location : Darlington with Hybrid Working Duration : Fixed term for 12 months Help shape one of Northgate’s most significant transformation programmes. We’re looking for a business-focussed Programme Manager to lead and coordinate activity as we move into the next phases of our Capstone project. This is a key role bridging the gap between IT and the business, influencing how new systems, processes and ways of working are embedded across our organisation. If you’re an experienced programme leader who excels in navigating business change, stakeholder alignment, testing phases, and readiness activities, this role puts you at the heart of delivery. Key Responsibilities : Lead and coordinate the business facing in UAT, Implementation and Hypercare phases of the project Act as the main link between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment on priorities, risks, and outcomes Oversee programme planning, governance, and reporting, maintaining a clear view of progress, dependencies, and delivery milestones Manage and engage with internal teams and third-party partners to drive delivery against agreed timelines Support effective communication and engagement across multiple business areas to ensure successful adoption and business readiness Identify and manage risks, issues, and interdependencies to maintain programme momentum and quality Join Northgate as a Programme Manager and enjoy some outstanding benefits … Of course, there’s a great basic salary, but that’s just the beginning, our most popular benefits include … Salary - £60,000 - £70,000 per annum based on experience. About You Proven experience delivering large-scale, multi-site projects or programmes within a complex organisation, ideally within a PLC or enterprise environment Confidence leading significant change programmes through testing phases, business readiness and implementation Excellent communication skills, able to distil technical information for business audiences and ensure alignment at all levels Skilled in governance, planning, and stakeholder engagement Qualified (or working towards) in a recognised framework such as Agile, Lean Six Sigma, or a Project Management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP) Ability to work at pace, handle competing priorities, and maintain clarity in a fast-moving environment About Us With over 60 branches nationwide, we are the UK’s largest supplier of light commercial vehicle rental solutions.
