Aircraft fitter is required for a company that focuses on advancing aviation and space technology through innovation, engineering excellence, and sustainable solutions. The organisation operates worldwide, providing high-tech solutions for civil and military applications.
This is a hands-on role ideal for experienced fitters or assembly operators with a background in engineering and a passion for precision work in the aerospace sector.
Key Responsibilities
* Interpret engineering instructions and aircraft drawings
* Carry out fitting tasks to required standards, including drilling, shimming, and sealing using hand and power tools
* Work at heights and in confined spaces (tank work), including physically demanding wing access and egress
Required Skills & Experience
* Completed a full engineering apprenticeship (e.g., Aircraft/Sheet Metal Worker, Fitter/Turner, Maintenance Technician, Tool Maker)
* Hold NVQ Level 2 & 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline
* Previous experience as a Fitter/Assembly Operator, with confident use of hand tools
