Key Responsibilities of the Behaviour Support Assistant:
* Provide 1:1 and group support to students with behavioural needs.
* Implement behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques.
* Foster positive relationships to encourage engagement and learning.
* Support teachers in maintaining a calm, inclusive, and structured classroom environment.
* Collaborate with staff, parents, and external professionals to support student development.
Requirements for the Behaviour Support Assistant role:
* Previous experience supporting children with behavioural or SEMH needs.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to remain calm and adaptable in challenging situations.
* Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and safeguarding procedures.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
