We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Cognitive Behavioural Practitioner / Behaviour Change Intervention Specialist with experience in delivering cognitive and dialectical behavioural therapy.
As a Cognitive Behavioural Practitioner / Behaviour Change Intervention Specialist you will assess, coordinate and deliver one-to-one and group interventions for individuals demonstrating domestic abuse or stalking behaviours.
Working as a Cognitive Behavioural Practitioner / Behaviour Change Intervention Specialist, you will provide CBT and DBT-based therapeutic support to help participants understand their behaviour, manage risks, and work towards positive change in collaboration with partner agencies.
This role involves face-to-face delivery in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, combined with remote delivery to participants across the Thames Valley region, offering a varied and flexible working

DUTIES
Your duties as the Cognitive Behavioural Practitioner / Behaviour Change Intervention Specialist include:
Deliver Specialist Interventions: Provide CBT and DBT-based behavioural change sessions both face to face and remotely
Assess and Engage Participants: Conduct assessments and develop tailored engagement plans for individuals
Maintain Accurate Records: Complete timely case notes, attendance logs and behavioural updates
Collaborate with Partners: Work closely with multi-agency teams including Police, Probation and community services
Manage Caseload: Balance one-to-one and group interventions across varied service locations
Support Risk Management: Contribute to MASH, MAPPA and Stalking Management meetings as required
Participate in Supervision: Attend clinical and line management supervision to ensure safe practice
Contribute to Reporting: Provide data, reports and evaluations in line with contract requirements
Promote Safeguarding: Uphold the organisations commitment to safeguarding and modern British values
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL
Experience of delivering cognitive behavioural therapy
Experience of working with challenging or high-risk individuals
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage disruptive or manipulative behaviour
IT literate and confident using video conferencing platforms
Proven ability to build constructive working relationships
Experience of multi-agency collaboration and case management
DESIRABLE
Qualification in Counselling, Psychology or Probation Practice
Experience of delivering dialectical behavioural therapy
Experience of working with domestic abuse perpetrators
Understanding of risk assessment frameworks such as MAPPA
Experience providing therapeutic interventions within justice or community settings
This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check, adult and child. All required checks will be undertaken as part of the pre-employment process for any successful candidate.
