We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher SEN to join our fantastic team at Grange School.
This is a permanent full time teaching post to start in September 2025 offering MPS/UPS plus SEN point 1.
We’re looking for:
You will need to be qualified to teach and work in the UK with excellent communication skills and the ability to develop effective relationships. Experience of working with children and/or young people with communication, severe, profound or complex learning difficulties is highly desirable.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a Special Educational Needs School, supporting our pupils and colleagues to develop the school community in our beautiful purpose-built building.
Main purpose of the job:
As a Teacher you will be expected to match the characteristics described in the Professional Standards for Teachers and required to fulfil the professional responsibilities which are common to all classroom teachers.
You will be responsible for making an impact on the education progress of students and improving the standards of learning and raising levels of student achievement for all students in the school.
Key responsibilities will include:
* To ensure that students experience an educational programme that is personalised to their needs, developing their skills and abilities
* Ensuring lessons are appropriately planned, delivered, and reviewed meeting the learning needs of all students
* To foster a positive working environment in the curriculum area that supports students’ learning
* Lead, develop and enhance the teaching practice (or work) of others
* Take an active role in the day to day management of the school
* Ensure effective liaison with internal and external support agencies
* Make an active contribution to the school’s ongoing self-evaluation process
