Bond Williams Accounting and Finance have a great opportunity for a Finance Manager with an established legal firm in Blandford, reporting to the Finance Director and overseeing and managing a small team.
You would have responsibility for:
* Overseeing the office and client accounts transactions and ensuring these are updated on the bespoke accounting system
* Ensuring payment of all invoices, daily and monthly bank reconciliations including client accounts
* VAT returns
* Preparing and maintaining payroll records using an external provider
* Checking and approving the legal accounting transactions e.g. CHAPs and BACs payments, foreign transactions, bank transfers etc
* Ensuring WIP is recorded and billed on a timely basis
* Assisting with credit control
* Month end reports
Suitable Candidate
Strong accounting skills and supervisory/management experience essential
Knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules/SRA regulations - an advantage but not essential
Relevant accounting qualifications - AAT/ACCA/ACA/ILFM - or Qualified by Experience
Good attention to detail, organised, good communicator and personable
