Overview
As a Health Physics Surveyor, you'll be at the forefront of radiation safety, supporting critical operations at a nuclear power station. Responsibilities
* Performing radiation and contamination surveys and completing reports in line with local arrangements
* Maintaining registers of sources and recording daily checks and defects
* Organising, setting up, and using air sampling equipment (where applicable)
* Function-checking Health Physics survey equipment and reporting any defects
* Providing Health Physics coverage of operations as directed by the Health Physics Supervisor
* Experience is valued, but not essential; we're keen to hear from those with transferable skills and a willingness to learn, a relevant science or engineering degree
* City & Guilds Stage 1 in Radiation Safety
* NVQ Level 2 in Radiation Protection
* Alternatively, relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications

This is a permanent, full-time position based at our Whetstone site. You'll work Monday to Thursday from 07:30 to 16:00/16:15 and Friday from 07:30 to 12:00.
