Job description
Our client, prominent in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a skilled CMT Planning & Logistics professional for a contract role within their Air Business Unit. This position is based at Samlesbury and is part of a 12-month maternity cover arrangement. Initially, the role will be fully on-site, with potential for hybrid working after the first few months.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing the Cutter Management Team
2. Utilising a niche Tool Data Management (TDM) system
3. Handling approvals, resetting databases annually, and database management
4. Preparing and sending stock reports to suppliers
5. Determining ordering needs
6. Placing orders for three business units
7. Processing orders through the TDM system
8. Emailing order PDFs to suppliers
9. Monitoring stock on a weekly basis
10. Tracking budgets and generating monthly spending reports
Job Requirements:
11. Experience in demand planning
12. Proficiency in using Excel
13. Experience with database and stock management
14. Knowledge of Tool Data Management systems is beneficial
15. Strong organisational and communication skills
16. Ability to work effectively in a defence-related environment
