Location: Chichester
This role is to support a young man with learning disabilities and complex epilepsy, providing dedicated one-to-one support at home and in the community.
He is full of life and thrives in the outdoors, enjoying activities such as football, pool, darts, cricket, and visiting animals. As his personal assistant, you will help him navigate daily activities, stay safe, and enjoy life to the fullest.
Duties include:
* Medication prompting/administering
* Personal grooming
* Eating and drinking assistance
* Transportation
* Companionship
* Dressing/undressing
* Bathroom assistance
* Accessing social and leisure activities
Candidate qualities:
* Respectful of the employers privacy and confidentiality
* Reliable with good timekeeping
* Able to follow instructions and work on own initiative
* Hygienic, tidy, and well-organized
* Fit and healthy to undertake required duties
* Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
* Honest and cheerful
* Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
* Able to work to high standards of health and safety
The role requires close personal contact with an individual vulnerable to infection and disease transmission. Preference may be given to applicants who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
Additional requirements:
* Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
* All applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check if required
