As part of McCann Content Studios, this team has the backing of one of the UK’s largest and most awarded networks. You will work with a wider dedicated social and influencer team and will need to develop social-specific ideas and create content for those ideas.
The Role
We’re building something exciting at McCann Content Studios Birmingham and are looking for a sharp, culturally fluent Social Creative Lead to help shape it.
You will be the go-to for social; helping set the standards, lead creative direction, drive platform-native thinking, and shape the team’s identity from day one.
This is a role for a maker and a leader—someone comfortable with concepting quickly as well as stepping back to shape long-term platforms. You’ll bring ideas to life with platform-native thinking, cultural awareness, and a desire to innovate.
What you’ll do:
1. Lead creative thinking across various brands, focusing on Acer and Predator.
2. Partner with the Social Design Lead to ensure ideas are conceptually strong and visually distinctive.
3. Manage and mentor a small, agile team of creatives and strategists.
4. Develop ideas that are native to social but designed to make a significant impact.
5. Identify cultural opportunities and respond quickly to reactive moments with smart work.
6. Collaborate closely with design, strategy, and production teams to execute ideas effectively.
7. Help define the creative culture and voice of the new Birmingham team.
Who you are:
1. A social-first creative capable of producing attention-grabbing work that drives conversation.
2. Confident leading projects but also willing to get involved in the creative process.
3. Passionate about culture, trends, and authentic brand presence in those spaces.
4. Skilled at team collaboration and helping others perform at their best.
5. A clear communicator who can articulate and share ideas effectively.
6. Experience in writing or creative directing copy is a plus.
7. Excited about team-building, shaping new processes, and being part of a startup environment.
