The Respiratory team is expanding and looking for a band 4 Associate Practitioner or nursing associate to assist the team in the service delivery and management of patients with respiratory conditions within the Mid Essex area. The role involves undertaking spirometry, running pulmonary rehabilitation classes, taking capillary blood gases with the oxygen team, and assisting with the virtual respiratory ward.
Job responsibilities
* Assist the Respiratory team in the effective delivery of patient care.
* Perform spirometry as part of the diagnostic service.
* Run pulmonary rehabilitation classes.
* Conduct oxygen assessments and take capillary blood gases.
* Assist with the virtual respiratory ward.
* Support the team to ensure effective, sympathetic and individualised pathways of patient care.
Qualifications and Education
* Basic computer skills.
* Community experience.
* ARTP Performing Certification.
Work related knowledge and experience
* Understanding of confidentiality and implications of non‑compliance.
* Knowledge of health and safety issues in the own work environment.
* Previous experience of lone working.
* Experience of spirometry.
Circumstances
* Full driving licence.
* Car driver and access to a car.
