Production Operatives – Multiple Roles We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-run manufacturing business based in a rural setting in the Preston area. Due to continued growth, our client is expanding their production team across several departments. Location: Preston area – rural location (own transport is essential) Contract: Temporary to Permanent Hours: Monday–Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm Friday: 8:00am – 4:00pm Pay: £12.21 per hour Role 1: Packing Operatives The Role Working within a busy packing department, preparing and packing products in a fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities Packing products accurately and efficiently Working to daily production targets Repetitive tasks including bending and lifting Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness Supporting colleagues as part of a team Requirements Physically fit and comfortable with repetitive movement Able to work at pace in a target-driven environment Positive attitude and strong work ethic Reliable and punctual This role can be physically demanding initially; however, full support and task rotation are provided to help new starters settle in. Role 2: Process Operative The Role Working within the processing department, handling and racking raw product. This role is largely independent and suited to someone comfortable working alone for extended periods. Key Responsibilities Racking and organising product Manual handling duties Maintaining hygiene and safety standards Keeping the work area clean and organised Requirements Good level of physical fitness Self-motivated and dependable Comfortable working independently Strong work ethic and reliability Role 3: Bandsaw Operative The Role Operating a bandsaw to cut product to required specifications within a production environment. Key Responsibilities Operating machinery safely and efficiently Cutting product to specification Adhering to strict health and safety procedures Maintaining a clean and safe working environment Requirements High level of focus and attention to detail Safety-conscious and responsible approach Reliable and trustworthy Previous machinery experience advantageous but not essential (full training provided) This is a safety-critical role and requires someone who takes workplace safety seriously.
