Lead BC Consultant (Construction) – Role Overview
The Business Applications Lead Consultant will be responsible for the successful requirements gathering, design, implementation and support of solutions for our clients. The role will provide assistance and insight to the Xperience Commercial Team to drive product adoption with clients and prospects, and build commercial awareness within our teams. The Lead Consultant will be a seasoned Business Central Functional Consultant and subject matter expert with broad knowledge across the Business Applications portfolio for the UK SME market and the Construction Industry. The appointable candidate will have a detailed understanding of the Construction Industry in relation to processes and terminology and stay up to date on Construction Industry legislation. The Lead Consultant will take full ownership of projects and mentor/support other Business Applications Consultants.
Responsibilities
* Work with the Commercial Team in a pre-sales capacity to provide demos and quotations and assist with proposals
* Carry out project scoping with the client to define wants and needs, review relevant internal business processes to design/offfer optimum solutions
* Document the client’s requirements to design appropriate solutions and produce accurate project plans guiding successful implementations
* Lead project implementation training and support across the Business Central portfolio, including data migration, system testing, and system configuration
* Own all tasks assigned, including liaising with clients and managing administrative aspects of the project (client agendas, full job card management)
* Coordinate and collaborate with other Business Applications team members to drive successful project delivery
* Develop and maintain broad product knowledge across the Business Applications portfolio to drive continued product adoption and ensure offerings align with market trends
* Take responsibility for personal professional development and achieve contractual or partnership accreditations/certifications
* Provide support and mentorship to other Business Applications Consultants as a subject matter expert
* Support clients via the Support Desk and act as an escalation point for incidents
* Be available to support clients during implementations and respond promptly to queries and concerns
* Maintain positive client engagement throughout the engagement lifecycle
* Collaborate across departments and locations and work with the One Xperience strategy in mind
Qualifications, Competencies And Experience
* 5+ years of professional experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central/Navision (2013 onwards), including independently leading 10+ full life cycle implementations in at least one of Finance, Warehousing/Distribution, Construction, or Manufacturing
* Fully implemented at least three Business Central systems for Construction Industry companies
* Strong understanding of Construction Industry processes/terminology and legislation, including Application for Payment, Retention Control, Subcontractor CIS Legislation and CVR processing
* Significant experience with third-party solutions such as Continia and Jet Reports
* 3+ years experience in design, implementation, support and management of Business Central solutions
* Working knowledge of Office 365 and its relation to the Dynamics 365 suite
* Experience with D365 development using C/AL code
* Ability to produce reports in SSRS
* Demonstrable experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools
* Ability to develop accurate project plans and deliver on budget and on time
* Ability to estimate effort and time required from the team to deliver client solutions
* Experience coaching and mentoring other consultants
* Experience working with diverse client requirements across multiple industries
* Previous experience in a pre-sales capacity
