Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in machining processes and have experience in a factory environment. A familiarity with sewing is advantageous, as this role will involve working with fabric and textile materials. The Machinist will be responsible for operating various machines, ensuring precision and quality in all produced components.
Responsibilities
* Operate and maintain machining equipment
* Interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce parts accurately
* Conduct regular inspections of machinery to ensure optimal performance
* Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines
* Perform quality control checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards
* Assist in the training of new staff on machinery operation and safety protocols
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Machinist or in a similar role within a warehouse setting
* Familiarity with sewing techniques is a plus
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision tools
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* Good communication skills and a proactive approach to tasks
