Position Summary:
The Wellness Nurse (LPN/RN) will oversee resident care, supervise staff, assist with medication management, and support clinical assessments to ensure high-quality care for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise Resident Services Department associates, including C.N.A.s (Resident Services Assistants).
* Assist in supervising the medication program and aid residents with self-administration of medication.
* Maintain positive relations with residents, families, and physicians.
* Report significant incidents or changes in residents’ needs to the Executive Director/Resident Services Director.
* Support the completion of resident assessments and service plans.
* Assist with clinical assessments/recertifications per ALSA requirements.
* Support Resident Services Director in hiring and managing departmental performance.
* Assist in training and orienting new associates.
* Participate in scheduled in-service programs, training, and meetings.
* Assist with scheduling and staffing of Resident Services Assistants.
* Provide coaching and mentoring to department associates.
* Support residents and families to ensure high satisfaction levels.
* Assist with supervision of RSA staff during care provision.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN), licensed in the appropriate state(s).
* Basic First Aid and CPR certification.
* At least two years of full-time or equivalent clinical experience.
* Experience in assisted living or long-term care preferred.
* Interest or experience working with seniors.
