Reporting to the Associate General Counsel, this Senior Compliance Manager position is a vital part of the Office of the General Counsel team.
This exciting role involves overseeing operations and managing non-lawyer personnel within a global compliance framework. You'll collaborate with the legal compliance team to support and implement compliance strategies and initiatives that align with organisational goals and regulatory requirements.
This position is based in the Manchester office and operates on a hybrid working basis.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and managing a global team of compliance professionals at various levels
* Acting as a liaison between the compliance team and other departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration on compliance matters
* Developing and identifying the need for compliance-related training for relevant business functions
* Keeping up-to-date with regulatory changes and compliance as they relate to the organisation
* Conducting research, analysing data, and generating reports as required by the legal compliance team, Deputy General Counsel, Audit and Advisory, and others
Applicant Expectations:
* Possess well-developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all organisational levels
* Have extensive management experience, ideally 8+ years
* Experience managing global compliance teams for multinational service organisations or law firms
* Strong knowledge of compliance areas such as AML, sanctions, anti-bribery and regulatory risk is highly desirable
