Rowlands Pharmacy is seeking a talented and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team in the Addenbrookes Hospital branch. As a Pharmacy Technician in one of Rowlands hospital branches you will be given extensive and specialist training as well as gaining exposure to the hospital pharmacy environment.
Responsibilities
* Deliver courteous and effective customer service
* Carry out all dispensing activities under the supervision of a pharmacist
* Develop positive working relationships with healthcare professionals
* Assist in the development of other staff members where appropriate
* Deliver appropriate healthcare advice and signpost where necessary
* Ensure that all Essential/Enhanced/Advanced Services are promoted and carried out in accordance with Company SOPs
* Assist and participate in healthy living events where necessary
* Assist in the sale of medicines and other merchandise when required
* In the absence of a manager, take on additional responsibilities as a registered professional
* Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the dispensary
* Perform date checking and cleaning in accordance with company SOPs and ensure adequate records are maintained
* Receive, store, maintain, and issue stock in accordance with Company SOPs
* Follow shrinkage procedures and use DSRS where appropriate
Qualifications
* NVQ level 3 - Pharmacy Technician
* GPhC registration
* Up-to-date knowledge of all statutory regulations
* Ability to accurately handle medicines
* Ability to prioritise workload
* Self-motivation and the ability to take the initiative
* Ability to work to deadlines
