Due to continued growth, Hales Group are recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller to join our Finance team based in Peterborough.
The position sits within our finance team, within a smaller team of 4 Credit Controllers and primarily deals with invoicing and collection with local authorities in line with contracts. Previous experience within a credit control environment is essential, however, full training for the Adult Social Care environment will be given. This role uses Sage 200 & Outlook as the main forms of software; training can be given in the use of these programs where needed.
The Credit Controller role is likely to include the following tasks:
* Liaison with local authority clients regarding payable invoicing and resolving any queries, issuing credit notes, and evidencing correct billing.
* Speaking to private clients to arrange Direct Debit set up and payment of account via card payment
* Arranging credit notes as required with authorisation from branches
* Opening new accounts for operations including credit checking
* Production, review, and distribution of monthly statements
* Carry out adhoc reviews and reporting for individual branches as they arise.
* Work towards department KPIs in conjunction with the rest of your team.
* Attend the weekly credit control meeting
