Senior Fire Surveyor Job in Barbican, London
in Barbican, London for an established fire consultancy. The role will be carrying out surveys, assessments including EWS1 / remedial cladding & façades and condition surveys for both residential and commercial buildings across London and The South East. The role offers a salary of up to £70,000 (dependent on experience) + Bonus + 45p mileage + hybrid working + healthcare + continuous CPD / professional development.

The position can be based from their London, Manchester, Kent, Leeds, Glasgow, or Belfast office.
Role & Responsibilities
1. Reporting to the regional Associate Surveyor, Associate Fire Engineer, Associate Director or Director
2. Mentor Fire Surveyors and Junior Surveyors
3. Provide sound technical advice to clients in relation to products, systems and how they fit in to the
overall fire safety objective, including EWS1 surveys
4. Updating the knowledge base
5. Project resource management
6. Reviewing site reports
7. Client management
8. Liaise with the project manager/project engineer to deliver surveys in line with contractual requirements
9. Consider commercial risk management and to Health, Safety and Wellbeing of associated team members
10. Keep up to date with latest guidance, product literature and share that knowledge with the team and wider company.
Required Skills & Experience
11. 10+ Years in construction with 2+ years working as a Surveyor
12. Or 7+ Years as a Building Control Surveyor
13. Experienced in fire stopping / dry lining
14. Must be MRICS, MCABE, MIFIREE, MCIOB or working towards
15. Enhanced understanding of fire safety design and guidance for different buildings
16. A good knowledge of regulatory process is essential
17. Ability to mentor / manage more junior members of staff
18. Understanding of building pathology, building concepts, construction typology and building materials
19. Experience with cladding & Facades / EWS1
20. UK Driving Licence and own vehicle.
