What you'll do:
In the capacity of Family Solicitor based in Nottingham, you will:
* Provide considered legal advice and guidance to clients on a comprehensive range of family law matters including mid to high-net-worth financial remedy cases, children issues, cohabitation/TOLATA disputes, as well as pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements.
* Draft, review, and scrutinise intricate legal documents with precision and diligence to secure optimal outcomes for clients.
* Discern pertinent legal principles and apply them judiciously when advising clients on sensitive familial concerns.
* Evaluate risks thoughtfully and resolve client matters by exercising sound judgement and considering all relevant perspectives.
* Respond promptly to correspondence and client enquiries whilst maintaining empathy and sensitivity throughout every interaction.
* Conduct thorough legal research as necessary to underpin casework and provide current, authoritative advice.
* Participate proactively in business development activities aimed at enhancing the Family Team's client base and reputation within the wider firm.
* Uphold honesty and integrity at all times in accordance with the professional standards prescribed by the SRA Handbook and Code of Conduct.
* Maintain current knowledge of developments in family law through continuous professional development and participation in relevant training courses.
* Support junior colleagues by offering guidance under the supervision of senior team members, thereby fostering a nurturing team environment.
What you bring:
To excel as a Family Solicitor within this esteemed firm, you will bring:
* Qualified Solicitor or MCILEX / FCILEX possessing demonstrable experience in family law matters encompassing finance cases, children cases, cohabitation/TOLATA disputes, cohabitation agreements, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements.
* Proven capability to prioritise workloads effectively whilst remaining composed under pressure within a demanding environment.
* Exemplary communication skills across all mediums-including face-to-face meetings, telephone conversations, and written correspondence-with particular emphasis on empathy for clients navigating sensitive circumstances.
* High degree of computer literacy facilitating efficient document management and research proficiency.
* Meticulous attention to detail ensuring accuracy in drafting legal documents and maintaining case files.
* Demonstrated aptitude for collaborative work within a team setting as well as independent initiative where appropriate.
* Experience providing support or supervision to junior colleagues under senior oversight is advantageous but not essential.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development through participation in training sessions or courses pertinent to family law practice.
