Location: Council Offices, Benfleet
Job Title: Finance Apprentice
Full Time – 37 hours per week
Grade: Apprentice Rate
Responsibilities
* Assist with financial reconciliations and reporting
* Process transactions, refunds, and system interfaces
* Support budget preparation and year-end accounts
* Help maintain the contracts register and insurance records
* Learn VAT and CIS processes as part of their apprenticeship training
* Provide administrative support across the Finance service
Key Skills and Abilities
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Willingness to learn and develop professionally
* Basic IT skills including Microsoft Excel and Word
Experience
Previous experience in a finance or office environment is desirable but not essential.
Qualifications
Applicants must be willing to undertake a relevant finance or accounting qualification as part of the apprenticeship.
