Corfe Hills School is looking for a Subject Leader for Key Stage 5 Mathematics to join our fantastic team. Could this be you?
Actual Salary £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (M1 to M6/ UP3)
In addition a TLR 2.2 is offered for Subject Leader for Key Stage 5 Mathematics.
This job is Full Time; however Part Time would also be considered (hours to be discussed at interview).
It is offered on a Permanent basis.
Approximate start date September 2025.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate the same professional duties as classroom teachers (see Class Teacher job description) as well as:
* develop and implement strategic plans for mathematics in line with our school’s commitment to high-quality teaching and learning
* promote the subject, its importance, and the value that it brings across the school
* have a good understanding of how well the subject is being delivered and the impact it has on student achievement; using this understanding to feed into the school development plan and produce development plans for the subject
* work with the SENCO to ensure the curriculum matches the needs of all students
* promote careers education through the subject and ensure that teaching and learning illustrates how the subject might lead to career opportunities
* use additional staff in the subject area to ensure there is a framework for deployments and that teaching assistants are deployed effectively
In addition, the Subject Leader for KS5 Mathematics will take lead responsibility for providing leadership and management of KS5 Mathematics to secure:
* high-quality teaching based on the CHS Principles of Teaching
* effective use of resources
* improved standards of learning and achievement for all
with the ability to:
* adapt their teaching to support learning
* apply a variety of skills to effectively motivate the full range of learners
* assess students, use AfL effectively and plan accordingly
* have high expectations of behaviour and implement effective strategies to support this
Ideally, we would like to appoint someone who has previous experience of:
* teaching in the relevant key stage: KS5
A clean driving licence and your own transport is essential for travel across the Trust’s multiple sites and schools.
