Job Title: Facilities Manager
Location: Oak Tree School, Truro, TR4 9NH
Salary: £37,500 per annum depending on experience (not pro rata)
Hours: 42.5 Hours per week; Monday to Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm
Contract: Permanent, 52 weeks

About the role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance, security, and day-to-day operations of our buildings and grounds. The Facilities Manager will ensure that our work environment is safe, functional, and efficient, supporting both our staff and pupils.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage the facilities team and supervise repair programmes, domestic tasks, and catering duties.
2. Ensure high standards of facilities and exercise full responsibilities, duties, and tasks.
3. Coordinate capital and operational expenditure.
4. Monitor and audit work schedules and project quality.
5. Liaise with external providers for cost-effective contracts.
6. Prioritize and organize workload for all areas of responsibility.
7. Manage on-call/out-of-hours response rotas.
8. Ensure cost economy and efficiency in all works.
9. Implement risk assessments and procedures according to standards.
10. Support health and safety, food hygiene, fire management, and legislative matters.
11. Develop maintenance programmes for responsive, cyclical, and planned works.
Requirement: Full UK Driving Licence
