Overview
Field Service Manager at Otis Elevator in Lanham, MD. Lead maintenance operations, manage day-to-day field staff activities, train employees, and drive safety, quality, and customer satisfaction while controlling costs.
On a typical day you will
* Ensure field employee safety and quality of service in your territory
* Plan, organize, and manage service field activities to meet customer needs and company standards
* Allocate resources efficiently (manpower and materials)
* Conduct field education and training with the field workforce
* Improve efficiencies by managing route schedules and callback rates
* Provide technical support to field staff, either directly or through escalation
* Authorize repair orders and track completion
* Lead changes toward better efficiency and communication
What you will need to be successful
* High school education required; BA/BS preferred or equivalent experience (at least 7 years)
* Experience leading a team of technicians
* Strong leadership and communication skills in a team-oriented environment
* Experience in the elevator industry is desired but not required
* Strong computer/technology skills and customer service orientation
* Willingness to travel within your territory; valid driver’s license as required for territory
