We are seeking a driven Pharmacy Technician to join our dedicated pharmacy team at our Boots pharmacy on Broad Street, South Molton, Devon, EX36.
Join this great store in a beautiful market town, which dispenses approximately 2,500 items per week.
Are you a pharmacy technician looking to train to ACT level? Boots can help! We offer an exceptional 6-week program, consisting of three core elements: Knowledge, Competency, and Assessment. Upon successful completion, you will become a fully qualified, skilled Accuracy Checking Technician, with a corresponding pay increase. (This program is optional at this time.)
We like to call you the ‘Captain of the ship’ – Our Pharmacy Technicians set up the day ahead, organize and allocate tasks efficiently, and check in with the team throughout the day to ensure all tasks are completed.
Pharmacy Technicians are involved in the entire medicine dispensing process, from preparation to final checks. They also play a key role in inventory management, ensuring stock levels are adequate and handling the ordering and receiving of medicines.
They liaise with healthcare professionals, patients, and other pharmacy team members, facilitating effective communication, so excellent people skills are essential.
Beyond dispensing, pharmacy technicians may assist in delivering pharmacy services, contributing to public health initiatives and wellbeing programs.
