Job Overview
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant with a Japanese cultural institution, on a full-time (35 hours per week), FTC (to March 2029) basis. As Financial Accountant you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of accurate financial accounting, compliance and reporting across all entities.
Hybrid working is in place with a minimum of one day per week required in the central London office.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of month‑end and year‑end accounting processes across all entities, ensuring financial records are complete, accurate, and supported by appropriate documentation.
- Lead the preparation and coordination of specific financial reporting and supporting schedules, ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with reporting requirements.
- Prepare VAT returns and supporting documentation across all entities.
- Support the operation and monitoring of procurement and purchase order processes.
- Coordinate audit schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation.
Qualifications
- Significant demonstrable experience in finance in a similar role, such as management accounting or financial accounting.
- At least a part-qualified accountant.
- Strong Excel and financial system skills.
- Experience supporting month‑end processes and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
- Strong technical accounting and reconciliation skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
