Join to apply for the Premises Support Manager role at NHS Borders.
FIXED TERM CONTRACT FOR 12 MONTHS. An exciting opportunity to join Primary & Community Services as premises support manager.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate key administrative activities for the P&CS premises programme, including handling enquiries from building users for clinical rooms, offices, equipment, furniture and IT.
* Maintain building floor plans and ensure accurate recording, production and distribution of data and information used for management and decision making by the P&CS Premises Group.
* Support documenting, reviewing and managing risks.
* Collaborate with a range of stakeholders at all levels including NHS Borders staff, GP practices, suppliers and contractors.
Requirements and qualifications
* Experience, understanding or an interest in property, facilities and/or premises management is beneficial but not essential.
* A full, clean driving licence is essential to enable travel between sites; the post holder will spend time at a desk and some time out in the community.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Working arrangements and travel
* P&CS staff are based on more than 30 sites across the Borders; travel between sites is required.
Pre-employment and visa information
* For pre-employment checks, NHS Scotland Boards will check entitlement to work in the UK; this may involve visa routes and status (EU settled and pre-settled status, etc.).
* From 1 April 2025, there may be changes to criminal records checks for regulated roles; if applicable, the post may require PVG or other checks.
* In some cases sponsorship via UK Skilled Worker/Health & Care Worker Visa may be possible, subject to employer sponsorship, minimum salary thresholds and vacancy eligibility.
* It is essential that you have the right to work in the UK or that the post would be eligible for sponsorship before submitting your application.
