Overview
Finniescroft Farm, located in Lennoxtown, East Dunbartonshire, provides a safe and welcoming home for children and young people up to the age of 21. The farm offers a tranquil rural setting while remaining close to local community life.
Responsibilities
* Provide calm, consistent support throughout overnight hours in a small, homely residential house.
* Help children settle at bedtime and respond to any night‑time needs.
* Offer reassurance and comfort during periods of anxiety or distress.
* Monitor wellbeing and maintain a safe, secure environment.
* Accurately record observations and key information from each shift.
* Work closely with the wider team to ensure a consistent approach to care.
* Support the whole child by contributing to a shared approach that focuses on behaviour, trust and outcomes.
Qualifications
* Calm, patient, able to respond confidently to a range of situations during the night.
* HNC in Social Care or SVQ Level 3 preferred; however, candidates with the right values and willingness to learn will be considered.
* Full driving licence is essential.
* Membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or commitment to obtain membership within a defined timescale.
* Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) or commitment to register.
* Respect for the Christian ethos and ability to work within it.
