Blair House is looking to recruit a Part Time Support Worker to join their team.
£12.60 per hour
Shifts: x2 days per week 08:00 – 20:30 including weekends on a rota.
Blair House is located in Billinghay. Our home offers residential and nursing support for 27 people with a primary learning disability diagnosis. We are in a semi‑rural location, surrounded by beautiful countryside. Our team is dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of the people we support, helping them to achieve positive outcomes. We want to help each person we care for to have a healthy, happy and independent life, within a safe and welcoming home.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team committed to our residents’ wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. Your positive attitude and passion for providing high quality care and support will be your key strengths.
* Supporting with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and preparation of food
* Performing light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes
* Assisting with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individuals
* Assistance and support to attend medical appointments
* Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well‑being and quickly report any changes to senior staff
* Supporting the development of important family connections and liaising with specialists, including Speech & Language Therapists and Learning Disability teams
* Encouraging participation in social and recreational activities that promote involvement and personal growth

Qualifications and Skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills and a caring nature

* Competent in verbal and written English
* A healthcare qualification is desirable, but not essential
