Responsibilities
Quality Management & Compliance
1. Conduct detailed gap analysis between existing processes and AS Rev D requirements
2. Produce structured reports highlighting non-compliance areas and prioritised corrective actions
3. Ensure all documentation and quality records meet regulatory and organisational standards
Audit Planning & Execution
4. Develop and deliver internal audit schedules covering product, process, and management systems
5. Create audit checklists aligned to AS requirements
6. Conduct audits through interviews, documentation reviews, and on-site observations
7. Evaluate effectiveness and compliance of systems and processes
Non-Conformance & Corrective Action Management
8. Raise, manage, and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
9. Lead root cause analysis activities using recognised methodologies
10. Define, implement, and verify corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs)
11. Ensure timely closure and effectiveness of all corrective actions
Stakeholder Engagement
12. Work collaboratively with process owners and operational teams to resolve findings
13. Provide guidance on compliance requirements and quality standards
14. Facilitate discussions to support implementation of improvements
Audit Readiness & Reporting
15. Monitor and report progress against audit readiness plans
16. Present audit status, risks, and improvement activities to senior management
17. Support external audit preparation and execution
Continuous Improvement
18. Contribute to ongoing quality improvements across manufacturing and engineering processes
19. Support development and refinement of inspection, testing, and evaluation methods.
Required skills, qualifications and experience
20. Strong working knowledge of AS Revision D
21. Proven experience as a Lead Auditor within a regulated environment
22. Demonstrable experience in:
23. Internal and external auditing
24. Quality management systems in manufacturing/engineering
25. Root cause analysis and CAPA processes
26. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
27. Effective stakeholder engagement and communication abilities
Desirable Skills
28. Certification in Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies
29. Experience within the aerospace, defence, or complex engineering sectors.
