Thales UK is seeking a Project Design Authority to join their Underwater Systems team in Templecombe. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring solution compliance for a project, acting as the primary technical leader of the service solution project team, and leading technical interface with the customer.
The role requires significant technical expertise in one or more technological disciplines relevant to the company, such as Sonar Systems, Signal Processing, or Outboard Hardware. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of technical project experience in both development and support fields, with excellent technical writing, interpersonal communication, and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure solution design takes into account contract requirements, legislation, and safety standards.
* Analyze customer needs and assess support solution architecture.
* Ensure solution compliance with customer needs, product policy, and applicable legislation.
* Review technical risks and opportunities, and develop mitigation plans.
About You:
* Good technical writing and interpersonal communication skills.
* Proven leadership capability and ability to build strong working relationships.
* First-class presentation skills and ability to effectively manage relationships across the business.
Experience:
* Significant technical expertise in a relevant discipline, with experience in whole systems engineering lifecycles for large complex systems.
* Proven project design authority with technical/project experience in development and support fields.
Security Clearance: This role requires the candidate to be a sole British National from birth and achieve Security Clearance (SC) without any caveats.
