Responsibilities
Perform a range of endoscopic procedures, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and flexible sigmoidoscopy.
Provide expert clinical advice and support to patients and colleagues.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to clinical decision‑making.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records.
Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines and hospital policies.
Engage in continuous professional development and training.
Application Requirements
Provide lifetime numbers of colonoscopy and gastroscopy – supervised and independent.
Provide last 12 months independent numbers: colonoscopy (total number, intubation rate, adenoma detection rate, perforation rate, bleeding rate, level of polypectomy) and gastroscopy (total number, D2 intubation rate, complications & types and numbers of therapy).
Complete identity checks, professional registration and qualification checks, employment history and reference checks, work health assessments, criminal record check standards, and right to work checks.

Qualifications and Experience
Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice (requires PLAB 1 and 2 for overseas medical graduates).
MRCP qualification.
A minimum of 12 years' medical work (continuous or aggregate) since obtaining a primary medical qualification, with at least six years in a relevant specialty in the Specialty Doctor and/or closed SAS grades.
Must be competent and independent in colonoscopy.
Desirable: Higher degree (MD or PhD).
Practical Skills
Excellent IT skills.
Speak fluent English to at least I.E.L.R.S level 7.5.

Salary and Contract Salary: £100,870 to £111,441 per year pro rata.
Contract: Fixed term, 24 months.
Working pattern: Full‑time, Part‑time, Job share.
