Position: Junior Project Manager
Location: Cambridge and surrounding areas
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday
What you’ll do:
We are expanding our team and looking for a field-based Junior Project Manager to support the Contract Delivery Manager in the Arb Utility division. You will manage operations for an assigned program of tree works across Cambridge, driving program delivery, contract KPI targets, and overseeing tree cutting teams.
This is a field-based role with approximately 3 days in the field and 2 days remote, depending on weekly requirements. A driving license is essential as travel to rural locations is frequent.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure work is completed to high standards of safety, environment, quality, customer service, and profitability.
* Promote consistency and innovation to maintain Ground Control’s reputation as industry leaders.
* Manage performance metrics, communication with the Project Coordinator, and timely project processing.
* Utilize and update work programs and planning checklists.
* Resolve client-held spans to obtain necessary consents.
What we're looking for:
This role suits candidates with basic field project management experience, possibly within arboriculture, surveying, or operational roles. Practical or project management experience in tree or horticulture is beneficial but not essential.
You should also possess:
* Strong negotiation and influencing skills
* Proficiency in IT
* Excellent team management and organizational skills
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple stakeholder demands
