A prestigious and well-established law firm based in Basingstoke, Hampshire is seeking an ambitious Property Litigation Solicitor (1-3 PQE) to join its highly regarded Real Estate Disputes team. Recognised by Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners, the firm is known for its City-quality work, delivered by a team including a number of ex-City lawyers, within a supportive and collaborative culture.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior property litigator to gain exposure to a broad and high-quality caseload while developing their career alongside experienced practitioners.
The Role
The team advises on a wide range of commercial and residential property disputes, including:
* Landlord and tenant disputes, including rent arrears, lease interpretation, and termination
* Dilapidations claims
* Adverse possession and complex title issues
* Trespass and nuisance claims
* Boundary disputes and possession proceedings
* Disputes involving ownership, easements, and restrictive covenants
* Breach of contract claims arising from property transactions
* Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and other litigation documents
* Managing cases day-to-day, liaising with counsel, and representing clients in court
* Providing clear, pragmatic advice that balances legal risk with commercial objectives
The Ideal Candidate
* Qualified Solicitor with 1-3 years' PQE in property litigation
* Strong grounding in landlord and tenant law and real estate disputes
* Experience handling dilapidations, adverse possession, boundary disputes, trespass, and nuisance claims
* Exposure to commercial property matters is advantageous
* Confident client-facing skills and strong communication ability
* Commercially minded, proactive, and solutions-focused
* Able to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team
