IRecruit4 are seeking a skilled Sewing Machinist for a permanent position with a specialist furniture manufacturer in Yate. Duties for Sewing Machinist: Operating sewing machines and production equipment to manufacture upholstered furniture Measuring, cutting, and sewing fabrics and upholstery materials accurately Stretching, fitting, and securing fabric, foam, and padding to frames Attaching coverings using hand tools, staples, adhesives, and machinery Working within a fast-paced production environment Following company Health & Safety procedures at all times Maintaining clean and organised work areas Ensuring tools and machinery are kept safe, clean, and in good working order Handling products carefully to avoid damage Working collaboratively with team members to meet production deadlines Requirements for Sewing Machinist: Previous experience as a Sewing Machinist, in upholstery, or furniture manufacturing preferred but not essential Experience working in a factory or manufacturing environment beneficial Experience operating sewing machines or production equipment desirable Strong attention to detail Ability to follow design specifications accurately Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high quality standards Hours and Pay for Sewing Machinist: 7:45am 4:30pm, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week) £12.71 per hour Production Bonus (up to 10% monthly after probation) Bonus - Up to £200 extra per month Permanent Role Free parking Paid breaks If you are interested in this fantastic permanent opportunity, please call 01793 987470 and ask to speak with Shannon or click apply today!
