The position
We are currently looking for a Field Service Engineer within our team in the UK.
Our new field service engineer will carry out commissioning, preventative maintenance and repairs of Hottinger Brüel & Kjær LDS equipment in accordance with company procedures.
We have customers in a wide range of industries including electronics, automotive, aviation and aerospace.
Most visits to customer sites will be within the UK. Occasionally there may be visits to other European countries such as France and Spain, and outside of Europe more rarely. You will be required to visit our site in Royston on a regular basis. You will ideally live in the Midlands/Anglia area.
Primary Responsibilities
Carrying out commissioning, maintenance and repairs of Hottinger Brüel & Kjær LDS equipment in accordance with company procedures. You will find more information about the LDS range at (Vibration Testing Equipment).
* Organise your trip to customers based on the schedule provided.
* Execute the fault finding, commissioning, preventative maintenance and repair following HBK LDS procedures and required documentation
* Write-up a summary of the actions done onsite, to be provided to the customer and documented in our CRM system
* Providing post-sales service to customers, resolving problems arising due to unfamiliarity with equipment and systems
Professional Qualifications
* This job requires the ability to understand (or willingness to learn) mechanical and electronic engineering as well as hydraulic and pneumatics systems.
* Qualifications: Degree in mechanical engineering, electronics or electrical engineering, or equivalent work experience (apprenticeship or equivalent)
* IT literate: Word, Excel, emails, CRM
* Clean driving record
* Fluent in English (additionally, French or Spanish would be an advantage)
