Role Overview
The Senior Quantity Surveyor is responsible for the commercial management of the Wind Turbine Package within an offshore wind project, with a focus on claims management, Extension of Time (EOT) support, and cost substantiation. The role involves identifying, tracking, and analysing project events and their financial impacts, supporting both client and subcontractor claims.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Quantity Surveyor supports the preparation and management of both client and subcontractor claims, including maintaining Extension of Time (EOT) and compensation event records, and developing robust quantum assessments with clear cost substantiation.
The role involves identifying and monitoring project events that may lead to commercial entitlement, while tracking project activities and allocating costs across work packages.
It includes preparing cost reports, forecasts, and trend analyses to highlight risks and opportunities, as well as maintaining accurate, auditable records in line with contractual and internal requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline.
* Demonstrable experience in quantity surveying, commercial management or cost management within construction, infrastructure, energy or major project environments.
* Knowledge of FIDIC and/or other standard forms of contract.
* Significant experience in claims management, cost tracking and commercial reporting.
Desirable
* Chartered Quantity Surveyor status or membership of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
* Experience within offshore wind, renewables, marine construction or major infrastructure projects.
* Experience working on EPC, EPCI or large-scale package delivery contracts.
This role is suited to an experienced Quantity Surveyor with strong claims and quantum expertise who can provide robust commercial support in a complex offshore wind environment while ensuring project events and cost impacts are accurately captured, substantiated and translated into clear commercial positions.
