The Content Design Specialist must review content in various languages to identify and correct design errors. Responsibilities include tracking omissions, inaccuracies, inconsistencies, and visibility errors originating from OCR, translation, and DTP tasks. The role involves editing, formatting, and ensuring content is suitable for translation and meaningful for local delivery. The specialist collaborates effectively with the IQVIA Translation Services team and external resources to deliver high-quality services.
The Content Design Specialist may coordinate efforts among team members to meet project requirements. They thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, are result-oriented team players, and work closely with the Associate Director, Head of Operational Excellence, Project Managers, and stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Contribute to translation effectiveness commitments to stakeholders and clients.
2. Check content in target languages for design issues according to guidelines and source content requirements.
3. Identify and resolve correctness and usability issues to meet quality standards and deadlines.
4. Collaborate with Project Managers to track quality issues and incorporate findings into performance metrics.
5. Act as a liaison between Project Managers, reviewers, and post-editors to resolve issues efficiently.
6. Clearly define and communicate issues to Project Managers and linguists to improve performance.
7. Mentor and coordinate Content Design Specialists to optimize project timelines and costs.
8. Work with leadership to document quality issues and improve QC and QA processes.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
* Fluency in Arabic (native or bilingual) and English, including vocabulary, terminology, syntax, grammar, and spelling.
* At least two years of proofreading, editing, formatting, and validation experience in multiple languages, including the mother tongue.
* Experience as a translator, linguist, or DTP specialist is advantageous.
* Project management experience is beneficial.
* Experience handling large content projects is desirable.
* Knowledge of QA, QC, DTP, and OCR tools and methodologies is helpful.
* Experience in international environments and with CAT/content editing tools is beneficial.
* Mentoring and team coordination experience is advantageous.
* Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work independently, proactively, and collaboratively with diverse teams.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor's degree in a linguistic, business, scientific field, or at least 2 years of relevant experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
* Repetitive keyboard use.
* Use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring speech perception.
* Sitting for extended periods.
