About the Role
MoneySavingExpert.com is looking for a talented Writer to join our small, busy Money Features team at the heart of MSE. You’ll work across a range of personal finance and consumer rights subjects – from financial reclaiming and pensions to benefits entitlement, childcare costs, and more – producing accurate, engaging, and actionable content that helps millions of people.
What You Will Be Doing
* Use your expertise and fresh ideas to maintain, grow, and improve on-site guides, ensuring they’re up-to-date, accurate, and engaging.
* React quickly to news and policy changes, spotting opportunities for new content.
* Pitch, research, and write for MSE’s weekly email, which reaches more than eight million people each week.
* Collaborate with other teams, such as News and Campaigns, to pitch and write stories that highlight consumer issues and drive impact.
* Use analytics, research, and industry sources to inform decisions and optimise performance.
* Build and maintain strong networks of internal and external expert contacts.
* Represent MSE as a subject expert when required.
What We Look For
* Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a flair for making complex topics clear, engaging, and relatable.
* Experience in writing for consumer audiences, particularly in relation to personal finance topics
* Willingness to proactively generate ideas and improve content.
* Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple priorities independently.
* Confidence with content management systems.
* A collaborative approach, inspiring and supporting colleagues in a fast-paced environment.

Interview Process
After an initial screening call with a member of our Talent Acquisition team, the interview process typically includes:
1. 30-minute call to discuss your experience and the role in more depth.
2. 60-minute interview. A timed task will be sent out prior to this interview and discussed, along with competency and behavioural questions.
