Your new role
We are seeking a caring,mitted, and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm and inclusive primary school in Bolton. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the SENDCo to support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them access learning and thrive in a nurturing environment. This role is five mornings per week, 8:30-12 each day.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide tailored 1:1 or small-group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
2. Assist in developing and adapting classroom resources to meet individual learning plans.
3. Work collaboratively with teachers, SENDCo, and outside professionals.
4. Promote independence, emotional wellbeing, and positive behaviour.
5. Support children with a variety of needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, or learning delays.
6. Contribute to a safe, positive, and inclusive school environment.
We are looking for someone who
7. Has experience working with children with SEN (school-based experience preferred).
8. Is patient, nurturing, and able to build positive relationships with children.
9. Demonstrates strongmunication and teamwork skills.
10. Can follow support plans and use initiative to adapt strategies.
11. Is reliable, enthusiastic, andmitted to making a difference.
12. Holds relevant qualifications (, Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) – desirable but not essential.
