Deepwater Subsurface Manager (IND005B):
Worley is a global professional services company specializing in energy, chemicals, and resources. We partner with customers to deliver projects and create value over the lifecycle of their assets, focusing on sustainable energy sources and supporting current energy needs.
We are seeking a Deepwater Subsurface Manager to lead a multi-well exploration and appraisal drilling campaign in 2026, followed by immediate development. The role requires strong leadership to manage multidisciplinary teams, collaborate across departments, and ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations.
This is a multi-year engagement based in Gurgaon, India.
Responsibilities include:
* Overall responsibility for subsurface activities related to exploration, appraisal, and development of deepwater assets.
* Leading exploration campaigns to maximize success and resource characterization.
* Pre-planning alternative scenarios for exploration prospects to facilitate FID decisions post-2026 drilling.
* Overseeing reservoir modeling, simulation, and integration of geological, geophysical, and petrophysical data.
* Coordinating development plans, including well placement, drilling schedules, and resource forecasts.
* Leading teams of geoscientists and engineers, engaging third-party consultants as needed.
* Providing updates to senior management and stakeholders on project status and challenges.
Requirements:
* Minimum 15 years of oil and gas experience, with over 10 years in deepwater field appraisal and development.
* Experience across various deepwater depositional environments, including gas and liquid-rich gas, in multiple countries.
* Reservoir Engineer or Geoscientist background, with at least a Bachelor's degree; higher degrees or certifications are preferred.
* Proven experience leading deepwater gas discoveries and collaborating with development teams.
* Project management experience, including managing large-scale projects from conception to implementation.
* Experience as an interface manager with clients and contractors is a plus.
* Ability to work efficiently with limited oversight.
