As Principal EIA Consultant, you will take a leading role in the delivery of high-profile EIA projects for major development and infrastructure clients. Working alongside a well-established team of specialists, you’ll shape project strategies, guide junior colleagues, and help maintain the consultancy’s outstanding record of successful outcomes.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on, team-focused environment. You will have genuine influence from early feasibility through to consent, supported by a modern, flexible culture where your voice is heard and your ideas are encouraged.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support EIA projects from initial concept through to submission
* Coordinate multi-disciplinary technical inputs and ensure high-quality deliverables
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, attending meetings and providing confident guidance
* Offer clear, pragmatic advice on environmental planning and consenting issues
* Support day-to-day project management to ensure delivery on time and within budget
* Mentor and develop junior team members within a collaborative and supportive setting
About You
* Strong track record in EIA delivery, with experience managing multi-disciplinary teams
* Excellent working knowledge of UK planning and consenting processes
* Confident communicator, client-facing and commercially aware
* Team-orientated, supportive and keen to share knowledge
* Ideally chartered, or working towards chartership
